Transair® fittings for aluminum pipe install fast and with minimal tooling. All Transair® fittings are designed to securely fit around Transair® aluminum pipe, increasing system efficiency and preventing compressed air leaks. Transair® fittings come in a variety of styles for easy assembly and layout design of compressed air, vacuum and industrial/inert gas systems. All Transair® components can integrate into existing copper or steel systems, allowing for easy expansion of an existing system. The "full bore" design of Transair® fittings, paired with the low coefficient of friction in the aluminum pipe ensures optimal flow throughout the compressed air system. All fittings are 100% recyclable, silicone-free and made from materials with no propagation of flame. All fittings conform to the UL94HB standard. Parker Hannifin warrants all Transair® components to be free of defects in material and workmanship for 10 years from the date of installation. Transair® 2 in (50 mm) and 2-1/2 in (63 mm) fittings use snap ring technology. With a snap ring fitting, a polyamide retaining ring is inserted into 2 holes at the end of the pipe. This ring, along with tightening the fitting nuts with a spanner wrench, prevents the fitting from coming off the pipe. All 2 in and 2-1/2 in pipes come from the factory with the snap ring holes pre-drilled, but if field cutting is required, the snap rings holes need to be drilled using a Transair® Drill Jig.
