SPX Snap-Trap Model 504 Float Controlled No-Loss Drain Valve

The SPX Snap-Trap (Model 504) is an economicalpilot activated, pneumatically operated, automatic liquid draindevice for use in discharging collected liquids from a compressedair system. It is recommended for use with air receivers, driplegs, aftercoolers, separators, dryers, and filters. Installing the Snap-Trap automatic condensate drain reduces operatingcosts by saving man hours spent manually draining compressed airlines and equipment. It also saves compressed air wasted whenvalves are left open to bleed off condensate, and downtime whenunattended air lines fill with liquid and flood the system. The Snap-Trap is level actuated, operates on demand,discharges only when necessary, while closing the discharge portbefore any compressed air is lost. Air pressure in the housingcreates a positive seal preventing air loss, as the soft seateddischarge port assures a tight closure. Likewise, the integralmagnet prevents external vibrations/disturbances from causingunnessary discharges.
