Parker® Transair® safety couplers and plugs are designed for frequent connection and disconnection of air lines or tools. These quick connect couplers install into threaded outlets quickly, easily and with minimal required tooling. Designed with safety in mind, these couplers use a two turn release function to vent the coupler before the implement is removed, preventing serious bodily harm due to hose whips. Transair® safety couplers and plugs comply with ISO 4414 and European EN 983 safety standards. To operate, first turn the coupler clockwise to vent the air out of the coupler body. After the air is vented, rotate the body of the coupler counter-clockwise to release the implement plug from the coupler body. These safety couplers are rated for use in compressed air and industrial/inert gas systems.
